Two in court over illegal electronics imports

A South African businessman, Ally Hamza, , and his Chinese accomplice, Huang Kun Bing , were on Friday arraigned in the Kisutu Resident Magistrates’ Court charged with six counts. The accused were charged with the import of electronic communication equipment – seven Voice Over Internet Protocol gateways with various serial numbers – without the go-ahead from the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority , thus causing a loss amounting to Sh700 million to the Authority.
