Jakaya Kikwete

Former Tanzania President

Dr Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete (born 7 October 1951) was the fourth President of Tanzania, in office from 2005 to 2015. Prior to his election as President, he was the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1995 to 2005 under his predecessor, Benjamin Mkapa. He has also served as the Chairperson of the African Union in 2008–2009 and the Chairman of the Southern African Development Community Troika on Peace, Defense and Security in 2012–2013. He is the Founder and current Board Chairman of the Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete Foundation (JMKF).

Amani Abeid Karume

Former Zanzibar President

Amani Abeid Karume (born 1 November 1948) is a former president of Zanzibar. He held the office from 8 November 2000 to 3 November 2010. He is the son of Zanzibar's first president, Abeid Amani Karume and a member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party.

Benno Ndulu

Former Bank of Tanzania Governor

Dr. Ndulu was the governor of bank of Tanzania. He presided over strong economic growth averaging 7 percent a year while bringing down the annual inflation rate to single digit levels from a peak of 20 percent in December 2011.

H.E. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao

African Union Ambassador to the U.S.A

H.E. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao is the African Union Ambassador to the United States of America since December 1, 2016. She was nominated by HE Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, to lead the African Union Mission to the USA, the first bilateral diplomatic Mission opened by the AU in 2007.

Oren E. Whyche-Shaw

Deputy Assistant Administrator USAID

Oren E. Whyche-Shaw was former Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau and Coordinator for President Obama’s Trade Africa Initiative. Ms. Whyche-Shaw led the Bureau's private sector, financial access and trade development activities on the continent and the USAID engagement with African diaspora in the United States. Prior to this position, Ms. Whyche-Shaw’s led the Africa Bureau’s Office of West Africa and the Office for Sustainable Development. She also served for three years as the Africa Bureau’s Principal Advisor to the Assistant Administrator for Africa.
