AU calls for free, fair polls in Tanzania, Ivory Coast

The African Union Advisory Board on Corruption has appealed to Tanzania and Ivory Coast to hold corruption free elections as the two countries head to the polls later in the coming two weeks. The body also urged the two countries to stage free and fair elections while also noting with concern what it described as an emerging trend on extending presidential tenures beyond prescribed constitutional term limits, a practice manifested in some parts of the continent.
